Survey Question: Most pressing issue facing our nation

Our grassroots survey asked the open-ended question: What do you feel is the most pressing issue facing our nation?

As you might imagine with an open-ended question, responses were all over the map. Below are some of the more prominent (or more interesting) ones:
- Winning the Iraq war
- Winning the War on Terror
- National security
- Defusing the nuclear threat posed by Iran
- Declining moral values
- Gas prices
- Economy
- Illegal Immigration
- Decline of the family
- Government spending
- (Federal) Govt. not carrying out its responsibility as described in the constitution and getting into to many other areas that should be enforced on the state level
- "
glut of bad policy ideas gaining popularity due to the media (national healthcare, raise taxes)"
- The trend toward socialism and away from free markets and personal responsibility
- "
I say to you the greatest enemy we have is the Congress. Every member of Congress acts on items that better for him/her than the nation. Get the congress together and work as a representative for the people of the United States."
